Destination Resort – Capay Valley

Cache Creek Casino Resort is a symbol of the commitment by the Rumsey Band of Wintun Indians to be good stewards of the land, an engine for economic growth, and a destination for visitors seeking a balance of excitement and relaxation in the beautiful Capay Valley.

longshotNestled among the rolling hills of California’s beautiful Capay Valley is an oasis that offers visitors a perfect blend of nature and entertainment, excitement and relaxation, activity and refreshment. Cache Creek Casino Resort is truly a world-class destination.

The casino resort is the primary business enterprise of the Rumsey Band of Wintun Indians. The Rumsey Band approached the development of the Cache Creek complex with a vision that it should reflect the Tribe’s heritage and values. The complex demonstrates and showcases the Tribe’s respect for the land and its desire to provide neighbors and visitors with a magnificent valley experience.

Cache Creek Casino Resort is really about world class experience. Visitors can enjoy a stay in the luxury hotel, relax with an array of health spa treatments and dine at one of nine restaurants featuring fine California cuisine. With an 18-hole championship golf course located in a secluded valley, golfers enjoy a unique and unforgettable experience. A new clubhouse (opening winter 2008) features restaurant and event areas with stunning views.

slotsAnd, of course, guests have access to a lively, state-of-the-art casino featuring more than 2,600 slot machines and 120 gaming tables where Blackjack, Baccarat and Pai Gow are just some of the ways to cut loose and have fun. Non-smokers have dedicated space to play. And Cache Creek’s Club 88 offers a variety of music to suit all tastes, featuring special concerts and events, and celebrating its multicultural clientele with performances from international groups.

From the outside, the resort seems to melt into the golden hills of the valley. Native stone and wood mirror the hues of the California Live Oaks that dot the landscape. In front of the resort, grazing fields, grapevines and the Tribe’s Three Feathers Ranch pay homage to the agricultural traditions of the Capay Valley. Guests of the resort will enjoy touring the surrounding communities where local wine, fresh fruit and produce abound.

Cache Creek Casino Resort is an economic engine for the region and the Tribe is proud of the financial benefits it brings to the community. With more than 2,600 employees and an annual payroll of more than $100 million, the casino resort is the largest private employer in Yolo County.

lobbyThe Tribe is dedicated to honoring the land and conserving its resources; it is one of its key legacies and part of its heritage. The Cache Creek complex is powered by a 250-kilowatt solar farm, which can be glimpsed in the hills behind the hotel. The golf course is irrigated with reclaimed water. In the fall of 2007, three new hydrogen fuel cells went into operation to provide energy and conserve natural resources. And the Tribe has purchased and placed numerous parcels of local land into conservancy.

Cache Creek Casino Resort is a symbol of the commitment by the Rumsey Band of Wintun Indians to be a good steward of the land, an engine for economic growth, and a destination for visitors seeking a balance of excitement and relaxation in the beautiful Capay Valley.
