Local “Fill-the-Boot” Drive Raises $40,000 for Firefighters Burn Institute 03.15.07

BROOKS, Calif., Ten fire departments from around Yolo County got together at Guys Corner in Madison during mid-February to raise funds in the annual “Fill the Boot” drive supporting the Firefighters Burn Institute in Sacramento. After raising $10,000 last year, the firefighters went all out this year, raising $25,000 and receiving a matching gift of $15,000 from the Rumsey Community Fund for a total of $40,000.
