Rumsey Rancheria - Cache Creek Casino Resort

Cache Creek Casino Resort

Cache Creek Casino Resort, located in Brooks, California, is owned and operated by the Rumsey Band of Wintun Indians. From its humble beginnings in 1985 as a bingo hall, Cache Creek has grown to 74,720 square feet of casino space featuring 2,200 slot machines and more than 120 table games. With approximately 2,500 workers, Cache Creek Casino Resort is the largest private employer in Yolo County.

The 415,000-square-foot property also includes a 200-room luxury hotel and health spa, eight restaurants, Club 88 entertainment venue, a 20,000-square-foot event center, outdoor swimming pool, casino gift shop and tribal-operated Mini Mart, Gas Station and Fire Station. Construction will soon begin on an 18-hole championship golf course.

In August 2004, Cache Creek Casino Resort activated a photovoltaic (PV), or solar electric, power generation station. Plainly visible from Highway 16 and containing more than 1,000 ASE 300 series modules, the installation is the largest of its type owned by a casino resort. The solar field will produce electricity equivalent to the requirements of about 73 homes a year for at least the next 25 years. The installation serves not only as a clean energy power station but also as a symbol of the Tribe’s commitment and contribution to helping California meet its energy needs.
