Cultural and Nation Building Events
The Tribe is involved in a wide variety of projects and activities on the Rancheria, in Yolo County, and throughout the country, including a monthly Native Speaker Series and weekly cultural workshop held at the Tribal school.
In addition to planning cultural exhibits and programs for Yocha-De-He gatherings, the Tribe participates enthusiastically in community outreach exhibits and programs in the region.
Some recent events include The Longest Walk 2 kick-off, a 2008 Patwin summer language institute, cultural site rafting expedition, the annual Tribal Leaders Forum, Yocha-De-He Big Time dance gathering, yearly Strawberry and Harvest Festivals and cultural field trips to such places as Yosemite and the National Museum of the American Indian, Washington DC.
